Myming, in this case some of the righties have a point: Does Obama have the authority to require BP to fund a $20 billion escrow fund?
In broad terms, he’s executive branch, a law enforcer. But that escrow fund sounds more to me like a punishment, and therefore more of a judicial branch function.
I dunno if there’s some executive order method he could use; if there is, I haven’t seen anyone mentioning it.
