Church, the Republicans are trying to severely cut Medicare, with nothing to replace those cuts.
In fact, it sounds like they’re trying to completely eliminate Medicare, and replace it with a lump sum payment to private insurance corporations…who, of course, will always do what’s best for their customers, with no thoughts of replacing that ideal with increasing corporate profits. (That is what corporations are supposed to do, right? Put increasing profits for shareholders over any other goal?)
