As a kid, both sets of grandparents lived in SoCal, so we’d go there every Christmas, and one day out of that vacation would always be a stop at Disneyland. Going to Disneyland was, without a doubt, the highlight of my childhood. Going back to Disneyland or Disney World as an adult isn’t quite the same, but I still find it to be a magical place. If you go on a crowded day, it’s hard to deal with the lines, but it’s still an otherworldly experience that no other amusement park has managed or bothered to replicate. Even though I’m not a fan of SoCal and loathe Florida, if a trip to one of those places included a stop at Disney, all of my objections to the trip would evaporate.
