Yesterday I mentioned Chiggers. I’d had run-ins with them several times while I lived in NC. You can get them walking through a field or in the woods usually in an undisturbed area. They will get up under your socks, the cuff of your pants, or T-shirt. Once they are on you, they bore into the skin. I was told they were laying eggs, but I’m no entomologist . You can’t see them, but you are going to itch like ’ell for about a week. The only effective remedy that I know of is to cover the spots with nail polish.
