The Tamarack are changing now and showing up like groves of sore thumbs. The Tamarack may be known as Larch out in Montana and are likely unknown to the rest of the Vagabonds. A tree with needles that loose those needles like the broad leafed trees do. Larch is also mentioned in the epic poem “The Song of Hiawatha” by Longfellow. When the tree grows new needles in the spring they make the tree look frilly and quite pretty. Also known as Hackmatack in southern New England
Just about sunrise and the turbines are turning pink on the ridge.
