Non Sequitur by Wiley Miller for December 01, 2012
Transcript:
Lucy: Uh... what are you doing? Danae: Putting a textbook under the pillow so my mind can do the studying while I sleep! Lucy: O-o-okay... who told you about this? Danae: Kate. Lucy: Um... did she say anything else? Danae: Yeah, but I don't remember. Lucy: Was it to make sure the book isn't upside down so your brain doesn't take it in backwards? Danae: Oh, that must be it... good catch, Lucy!
“Yes I should have refrained, but Wiley is very often subtely political while being typically non-partisan.”
No, I don’t do “subtley political” material. When I do political satire, it is obvious. Otherwise, what’s the point? But what happens all too often here is that some people, like yourself, go out of their way to pretend to read something political into virtually every cartoon (as you did again today) as an excuse to foist their political views on the rest of us who didn’t ask, or care, what your political views are. It is beyond tiresome.
