"Hey, Violet!" Charlie Brown calls as he runs up to Violet, who sits in the sandbox, playing.<BR><BR> He leans against the side of the sandbox: "I saw something you might be interested in..." "Oh?" she asks<BR><BR> He sits on the ledge of the sandbox and asks, "Have you ever seen a dogcatcher?"<BR><BR> She replies, "Mercy, no! And if I eer did, I'm sure I'd be frightened to death!" "Don't you want to see one?" Charlie Brown asks, as he stands inside the sandbox.<BR><BR> "I don't know...Is there really one around here?" Charlie Brown climbs out of the sandbox: "Sure...C'mon with me..."<BR><BR> They run along. Charlie Brown says, "There's nothing to be scared of..."<BR><BR> "There, see? A dog-catcher!" Charlie Brown points. Shermy pitches a ball to Patty, who swings a bat. The ball is caught by Snoopy, wno sits behind the plate as catcher.<BR><BR>
And it’s Patty at bat. She is the most athletic of the girls until Peppermint Patty is introduced.
