"Hold the blanket in your left hand...That's the way..." Linus instructs Sally as she holds the blanket to her cheek. They sit on the floor.<br> <br> "Now the thumb..." Sally obligingly sticks her thumb in her mouth.<br> <br> 'WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON HERE?!" Charlie Brown demands. He stands above them as Linus and Sally suck their thumbs and clutch their blankets.<br> <br> "Look, Linus, you're not gonna teach any sister of mine to sit around holding a blanket!" he storms. Linus and Sally look up at him.<br> <br> "Just because YOU need a crutch, it doesn't mean SHE does!" They stand facing each other. Charlie Brown points at Linus.<br> <br> "Of all the stupid HABITS, that blanket is the STUPIDEST! And that's ALL it is, just a HABIT! A STUPID HABIT!!" he rails, thowing up his arms. Sally and Linus stare at him.<br> <br> "You're not going to teach her to use a blanket for security or for happiness or for ANYTHING! Sally is going to use her own will-power to grow from a baby to a WELL-ADJUSTED CHILD!!!" Charlie Brown yells at the seated Sally and Linus.<br> <br> "Like her brother?" Linus asks mildly.<br> <br>Charlie Brown rolls his eyes.<br> <br> He walks away with a sigh. Sally and Linus resume sucking their thummbs and holding their blankets.<br> <br>
