Charlie Brown lies in bed. He says, "Good grief! It's morning already! This is the day of our first game."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown sits up in bed and thinks, "I'm no manager . . . I can't run a baseball team . . . Everybody knows I'm a lousy manager . . . Nobody even pays attention to me . . . They all hate me . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown lies down and thinks, "I think I"ll just stay in bed . . . Maybe it'll rain . . . Maybe no one else will show up either . . . I'll just stay in bed, and . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy stands at the foot of the bed wearing a baseball hat and carrying a bat. Charlie Brown leaps out of bed as Lucy shouts, "Okay, manager! Rise and Shine!"<BR><BR>
Have you ever noticed that all of the characters in this strip walk in and out of each other’s houses at all hours, girls in guy’s rooms, etc., and the parents never seem to mind?
