Lucy walks with Charlie Brown. Lucy says, "Are you going to buy comic books, Charlie Brown?" Charlie Brown replies, "Not on your life!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown waves some money in Lucy's face and says, "See this five dollars? I'm going to spend it all on bubble gum cards! I've got to get a picture of Joe Shlabotnik!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown hands his money to the man behind the counter and says, "Five dollars worth of bubble gum please!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown carries a tall stack of bubble gum cards and says, "I'd do anything to get a Joe Shlabotnik bubble gum card . . . He's my hero . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown quickly opens bubble gum card after bubble gum card.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown stands amid a pile of wrappers and yells, "Five dollars worth of bubble gum and not one Joe Shlabotnik!"<BR><BR> Lucy walks into the store.<BR><BR> Lucy says, "A penny's worth of bubble gum, please . . ."<BR><BR> Lucy opens her bubble gum wrapper.<BR><BR> Lucy holds up her prize and says, "Well, what do you know . . . Joe Shlabotnik!"<BR><BR>
And of course Lucy won’t give it to him.
