"here's the World War I Flying Ace in his Sopwith Camel zooming over enemy lines.." Snoopy thinks as he steers his doghouse.<BR><BR> "President Wilson said we'd be home by Christmas...Ha!"<BR><BR> "Her's the World War I Flying Ace sitting in a little French cafe drinking root beer..he is disgusted..." Snoopy sits at a table and clasps a bottle of root beer.<BR><BR> "Actually, World War I Flying Aces very seldom drank root beer.." Snoopy raises his eyebrows.<BR><BR> "We'll never get home for Christmas! This stupid war will go on forever!" Snoopy rests his chin in his hand.<BR><BR> "I think I'll take a bottle of root beer over to the enlisted men...Poor chaps, they probably need a little cheering up..." Snoopy stands and holds up a bottle of root beer.<BR><BR> "Hmm...it's beginning to snow..." Snoopy thinks as he walks.<BR><BR> "What's that? The enlisted men are singing Christmas carols!" Snoopy stands still.<BR><BR> "Those poor blighters are cheering themselves up! They don't need me!" Snoopy tosses the bottle.<BR><BR> "Suddenly the loneliness of his days becomes to much for the Flying Ace to bear..he cries out in terrible anguish... [PANEL 11]: "AAUGH!!" Snoopy wails. [PANEL 12]: "What in the world was that?" Sally asks Charlie Brown. They are indoors. "Let's not sing any more Christmas carols.." Charlie Brown answers. [PANEL 13]: Charlie Brown looks out the window and explains, "If you're a long way from home, they can be very depressing..." Sally says, "Sometimes I have no idea what he's talking about???"<BR><BR>
