Charlie Brown replies, "Eight more days."<BR><BR> Sally says, "If Christmas comes and you don't tell me, I'm going to hate you!"<BR><BR> Sally asks, "Is it halloween yet?" Charlie Brown replies, "Halloween is over."<BR><BR> Sally frowns and says, "I hate you!"<BR><BR>
Well, Sally, you never said boo to Charlie about hating him, if he failed to tell you that Halloween had come—only if he had failed to inform you that Christmas had come—so you can’t really pin the blame on him, for your having missed Halloween.
