Charlie Brown approaches Snoopy, who lies on top of his doghouse. Charlie Brown holds out an envelope and says, "Here, Snoopy, this is for you.." Snoopy thinks, "Oh, no! I know what it is without even looking!"<BR><BR> Snoopy sits up, and looks at the envelope. He is sweating.<BR><BR> "I hate this time of year!" Snoopy thinks as he clutches his forehead. He holds the envelope at his side.<BR><BR> "This is when you have to fill out a report to the Head Beagle on what you've done all year.." Snoopy reads a piece of paper, frowning.<BR><BR> Snoopy bends over the questionnaire, pencil in hand. He reads, "1. How many rabbits have you chased?" "'None'..how embarassing..." "2. How many cats have you chased?" "'None'..that's a good way to get racked up!"<BR><BR> Snoopy lies on his stomach. "3. How many owls did you howl at?" "'Twelve, but I saw only two'...Stupid owls!" "4. Did you take part in any Fox Hunts?" "'No'...I have no desire to be stomped on by a clumsy horse!"<BR><BR> "This is the part I hate..." Snoopy thinks. He sits up and reads: "5. Relationships with Humans...a. How did you treat your master? b. Were you friendly with neighborhood children? c. Did you bite anyone?" Snoopy thinks, "These are very personal questions..."<BR><BR> Snoopy holds two sheets of paper and reads, "Return the yellow form to the Head BEagle with your dues, and keep the blue form for your files..report must be postmarked no later than Jan. 15th."<BR><BR> As he sticks out his tongue to lick the envelope, Snoopy thinks, "What a nuisance.."<BR><BR> As he walks up to a mail box Snoopy thinks, "I'd really like to just forget the whole thing.." [PANEL 11]: "Except that someday I may get to be the Head Beagle!" Snoopy walks back. He raises his brows and grins.<BR><BR>
