Charlie Brown walks in the grass and carries a book.<BR><BR> Snoopy lies on the doghouse. Charlie Brown says, "I finally found that book I've been wanting to get you . . ."<BR><BR> Charlie Brown hands the book to Snoopy. Snoopy thinks, "How nice!"<BR><BR> Snoopy looks at the book and reads, "Darwin and the Beagle."<BR><BR>
Snoopy was unaware that “the Beagle” refers to the HMS Beagle, a ship that carried Charles Darwin between 1831 and 1836. During the voyage, Darwin recorded his scientific observations that would lay the groundwork on his theory of evolution. Years later, in 1859, Darwin published his work, “On the Origin of Species”.
