Charlie Brown reaches one hand out to the telephone whiles the other one holds a sheet of paper.<BR><BR> He walks away from the phone and sighs.<BR><BR> Linus sits in a chair reading as Charlie Brown stands next to him. The latter says,"There's the telephone..I'd give anything to have the nerve to call that little red haired girl..."<BR><BR> Linus asks,"Why don't you just do it?" Charlie Brown replies,"Because I know she wouldn't want to talk to me..."<BR><BR> He leans on his hands dejectedly on a foot-stool. Linus stands behind him and exclaims,"That 's ridiculous, Charlie Brown...we see her in school every day...she's a very nice person!"<BR><BR> He continues,"She'll talk to you..I know she will..." Charlie Brown grimaces to the reader and says,"I doubt it..I'd just be making a fool of myself"<BR><BR> Linus gives him a shove and says,"Go ahead...do it! Call her!" Charlie Brown walks off saying,"All right, but I'll bet she won't even give me the time of day..."<BR><BR> Linus looks at him as he returns and asks,"Well, what happened?" Charlie Brown replies,"She said it was four o'clock!"<BR><BR>
The time of day is a decent opening. Next move, the weather today…
