Marcie and Peppermint Patty walk by a sign that reads,'Tiny Tots Concert Today' The latter says,"I hate being called a 'Tiny Tot'"<BR><BR> They sit in the auditorium and Marcie hands her a program saying,"Here's a program for you, sir"<BR><BR> Another little girl sits next to them; Peppermint Patty looks at her program and asks,"'Mostly Mozart!!' What does that mean?" Marcie replies,"That's what they call this concert..."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty says,"How about 'Regularly Rachmaninoff'? Why not 'Principally Prokofiev'?"<BR><BR> She smiles and continues,"Or 'Frequently Franck,' or 'Largely Lehar,' or Chiefly Tchaikovsky' or 'Mainly Mussorgsky'?"<BR><BR> She smiles wider and continues,"How about 'Essentially Elgar,' or 'Supremely Schubert' or 'Generally Gershwin'?"<BR><BR> Marcie looks at her as she bursts out laughing loudly. The former puts her finger to her lips and exclaims,"SHHHH!"<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty slumps in her chair frowning as Marcie turns her attention to the performance.<BR><BR>
In “Chiefly Tchaikovsky” the pronunciation matches but not the letters; in “Supremely Schubert” it’s the other way around. Be consistent, PP… But yes, a good job coming up with several names including some that are not quite household names. And somehow 4 out of 9 are Russian.
Add “Basically Brahms” to honor the author’s favorite composer…
