1972 (the date on the comic) I believe was the year the reincarnated Washington Senators moved to Texas. The first version moved to Minnesota around 1960. The Kansas City A’s (formerly Philadelphia A’s) moved to Oakland around 1968. And of course the Dodgers and Giants went to California in 1957.
