Timber’s Guide: How to Hug Your Horse:1. Wrap both arms around his magnificent neck and place his head on your shoulder. If you are short and your horse is tall you may need to stand on a mounting block.2. Bury your fingers in his silky mane and press your cheek against his satin hide.3. Use your fingers to vigorously massage his neck at the root of his mane. There is no need to be to gentle here, the harder you rub, the better he will like it.4. Squeeze him tightly and hold until your arms ache. Some horses may return your hug by squeezing your shoulder between his head and neck.
