Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for June 24, 2016
Transcript:
Phoebe: I'm not sure about going to a camp FULL of unicorns. What if I don't fit in? Marigold: All the more reason to go! You will be unique among the unique...a unicorn AMONG unicorns! Phoebe: And you can bask in MY reflected glory for a change! Marigold: It will be a nice break from my usual glory-reflecting duties.
Another thing that Marigold could do to ensure her uniqueness at the camp (especially at any lakeside, meadow, or forest clearing parties) would be to wear thong sandals (maybe matching Phoebe’s) on her hooves; they’d be a natural to go along with the sunglasses that Marigold and Phoebe sometimes wear. Some horses wear hipposandals (as they’re called), whose straps go over their solid hooves. But unicorns, having cloven hooves, could wear all of the varieties of sandals (suitably shaped to fit the soles of their hooves, of course), including the thong types, that humans wear.
