Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for August 03, 2016
Transcript:
Phoebe: What's that? Marigold: It is an ancient unicorn summer tradition. In the unicorn lands, we call it the slip and slide. Phoebe: We have one of those in the garage. I've been meaning to have dad bring it out for weeks. Marigold: Does yours twist past crystal spires and end in a shimmering pool? Phoebe: If it's supposed to, my dad's been setting it up wrong.
I nearly died as a result of a not-wet-enough Slip’n’Slide, as I slammed myself into the ground and knocked the wind out of myself.
If my mother hadn’t known how to do mouth-to-mouth, I wouldn’t be alive now =p
