The Dalmatian firedog…Do they still do this? Or is it just another cartoon cliche, like slipping on banana peels, and quiet zones outside hospitals? (Or bowler hats popping off heads, to credit a recent strip).
Some folks in my neighborhood have adopted deaf dalmatians, seems to be a congenital thing. Given the price of hearing aids and cochlear implants for humans, I kind of doubt that any relief is in the future for them. Of course they can’t sign, but they can be trained to understand doggie sign language.
