Cut trees are actually a very green choice.
Almost all x-mass trees are farm grown. While they are growing they are pulling carbon out of the atmosphere.
As long as you compost them or make sure that they in up in a landfill all that atmospheric carbon ends up back on the soil.
Just don’t burn them after.
Artificial trees, on the other hand, are made from plastic. And that crap comes from oil pumped from the ground.
The only choice that is greener than cut trees is to use a living tree and plant that come spring.
