I was having lunch yesterday at Baja Fresh when a kid walked in with a giant spinning sign for neighboring condos - I almost busted a gut, but managed to keep it to a near-silent chuckle…
Just think - if the Post Office were truly a for-profit business, then your first-class letter would cost $12 to send, just like Fedex and UPS. Oh, and having your tax return post-marked by midnight, April 15 would no longer be acceptable as legal proof of filing with the government. In fact, anything sent to or from the government for official business would have to be sent by licensed and certified summons-server or courier. A LOT of existing laws would have to change to support the Post Office as something other than a quasi-governmental agency.
Hey Sarah - So how’s that “Don’t retreat, reload” thingy workin’ out fer ya? You know, the one where you put up a website with RIFLE CROSSHAIRS on Giffords’ district?
Sometimes when you get whackjobs all fired up and tell them to do bad things, you need to consider your personal culpability when they do them.
(To this day, I can’t imagine why Nancy Grace has never been held responsible after she harangued that woman on the air so badly that the woman left the studio and committed suicide!)
