How true this is. And not just for men, either. Those delicious, salty little “crunches” you mindlessly chow down on while you sit around and watch t.v. are all fun and games until the 36-pack “spare tire” shows up that’s a whole lot harder to lose than it was to gain! (⊙_⊙)

Okay, Irving, it’s time for you to do the same two things I always advise Cathy to do (which she constantly ignores, of course):

1.) Don’t bring junk food of any kind into the house so you won’t be tempted to eat it.

2.) Get off your rear-end and start taking your poor, pudgy little pooch for daily walks around the neighborhood. That way, you and Vivien can spend more quality time together, and the extra exercise you get by doing that will help the BOTH of you lose weight!

As does the “Buckles” comic, too.

If he’s anything like my dog used to be, then the answer to that would be no. She loved playing in the rain, but when it came to bath time? She absolutely hated it. Go figure! ;-)

Exactly! Just how dumb do you have to be that you can’t figure that out?!? (◔_◔)

That’s my favorite Hitchcock movie, as well. Judith Anderson’s sinister Mrs. Danvers never fails to give me the creeps in any scene she’s in ….. especially in those with Joan Fontaine! (⊙_⊙)

Peanut butter always worked well with our dog.

My thoughts exactly. Joan and Wally can rent a beach cabin pretty much whenever they want, but the jazz festival has a specified date that can’t be changed. Phil has already bought the tickets so if they don’t go, the money is wasted.

But I’m guessing that rather than Joan and Wally being the “bigger” people and changing their variable plans in order to accommodate Phil and Val’s more fixed ones, all 4 of the kids will probably get dumped off on poor old Grandma Evie to take care of instead. (◔_◔)

Congratulations to Lil on her high school graduation! Twelve years down and only four left to go! ;-)

Please let her know that all of her friends here on “Cathy’s Corner” are very proud of her. We know that she’s going to go far and do really great things in this world. Hugs and kisses to that sweet girl of yours from us! ♥

Good heavens, Cathy, you’re not even a half-way decent “fur-mama” to poor little Electra so how on earth are you going to be the kind of mother an actual human child deserves that will be a whole lot more trouble to take of than a dog is?!? Just because the shopaholic in you has fallen in love with a bunch of cutesie items from a “Pottery Barn Kids” catalog is NOT a legitimate, rational reason to bring a baby into the world that you hadn’t otherwise been thinking about having until this very minute so calm down and get a grip on yourself!
