Dogs only have a very finite amount of years to live, Cathy. You already spend more than enough time ignoring and neglecting poor little Electra as it is. Please quit making the same mistakes with her over and over again because life is too short and it goes by a lot faster than you realize or expect it to. Love and enjoy that sweet little fur-ball of yours as much as you can — for as long as you can — because one day, she’ll be gone and you don’t want to spend the rest of your life feeling sad and guilty at all the time you could have spent with her but didn’t because you decided your “me” time was a lot more important than SHE was.
