I suspect the film’s target demographic a.k.a. those disposable income boppin’ millinnials never heard of the source material. All brand recognition these days!
Further evidence that the strip is set in a Dick Tracy universe, not quasi-real world. Doubtful any studio would back another Rice Burroughs “sci-fi” film after Disney’s JOHN CARTER dud!
Just watched BELLFLOWER last night. Not a great indie movie but cool car(s). One vehicle had a tap by dash that dispensed whiskey. Reminded me of Flattop Jr’s gadgetry (the above hotplate strip ref).
I was hoping THIS would be the story that Tracy handled everything himself. But alas! Rescued again! (keeping in mind too that Junior was the savior in the 1st Kadavar adventure) I also keep hoping that there will be a current spat of Dr. Who episodes that WON’T involve a child in the cast. Silly dilly me!
Do the walls return to their original position? Or can’t you just leave Tracy stuck as is? How horrible would that be? Sorry. Just thinking it all the way thru…
