Do you even read your own links? From the first article on the right-wing biased Drudge, on irregularities in Virginia:

“None of the cases appeared to involve someone who misrepresented his or her identity at the polls to vote.”

Give it up, guys, There is no significant voter impersonation going on in the US. The ID laws really are about suppressing the minority and Democratic voters.

I certainly understand your concern over parents who fail their children, but that’s not Rick and Jeff. Life is teaching Jeff a lesson, and the best thing a parent can do in such a circumstance is to let it happen, assuming the child’s life and health aren’t in danger. If it gets to that point, I have no doubt Rick would step in.

    “Welcome to Obamaland”

Where rich a-holes who didn’t really earn their money don’t get to hoard it all? I’m in.

I thought the ghost writer was making him a vampire, maybe a satirical swipe at Twilight, or it’s imitators.

No, unfortunately, I share the Shrub’s birthday. On the plus side, there’s also the Dalai Lama and Della Reese. 50 Cent and Sly S., too.

Jeff wasn’t very smart. The first thing he should have bought was a politician…the kind who can pull strings and stop a foreclosure.

That might seem harsh to some, but one of my kid’s uncles bought an 18" tall talking JJB for one of my kids. Made me wish for a blaster pistol of my own many, many times.

    Interesting as usual, Lou.

Not sure I’d like to sit through the whole game, but I bet the highlights (bloopers?) would be great.

I’m a baseball fan, and I can tell you that MLB is flooded with testosterone, and not all of it is injected. Part of it may be players using herbal and other allowable methods of boosting it, but another part could be that naturally high testosterone levels helped them reach the top in the first place. I’ve noticed they have an insanely high rate of male-pattern baldness for a bunch of 20-and-30-somethings.

Thanks, Linguist, I was going there myself.

I have two teenage children, and it’s true. Homophobia and the ostracization of LGBT individuals is in rapid decline among our youth, as those who support such attitudes become an ever-smaller minority. Kids are coming out earlier than ever as the stigma lessens, and it seems that the number of kids who either are openly LGBT or count one as a close friend now significantly outnumber the “haters”. That means the greater peer pressure is for tolerance, and that’s a very good thing.
