   The teacher of the required “Literary Appreciation” class in High School made us read ‘The Scarlet Letter’ By Hawthrone. We then spent the ENTIRE semester acting out parts of the book, writing reports, essays, and having classroom discussions about it. By the time the semester was over, I was ready to BURN the book and force my teacher to eat the ashes.

   I wish that politicians were that stupid – it would certainly thin them out some. As I get older, I’m finding that my tolerance for politicians(and their tendency to feed freely with our taxes) is becoming more of a total disgust.

   When politicians become responsible for their actions and decisions, will be the day the turns into solid gold.

   Unless a shirt has some food or other ‘stuff’ on it most guys would re-wear at a later date without washing it ….. and even then some guys would STILL wear it – even WITH food or ‘goo’ on it.Exceptions are usually made for human body secretions, though…….

   Meh …. humans always want to make God in their image. Stupid humans – God was here loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong before the matter that made us was ejected from some star. And of course, humans have to believe that God actually cares about what happens to everything – personally, I think this universe is just a ‘mulch box’ outside his greenhouse.

   Last I had read about it. the minimum lead time was about 1 week …. and even then they don’t like it, and pester the comic artist relentlessly to increase his lead time.

   Trudeau, Watterson, Breathed were/ are notorious for fighting against long story stacks. It’s kinda hard to put a time relevant comment/ strip in the paper when they don’t give the artist the ability to know what is going on in the world when they want strips stacked up weeks in advance…..

   I got tired of wading through all the little sheets of paper they send trying to find the correct stamp or whatever to place on the entry form. I quit PCH years ago. Besides, I noticed that I always got more junk in the mail about a month AFTER I sent the entry in …. I only need so much paper to start the charcoal in the grill. Carrying it all out to the recycle bin was starting to bug my back.

    For those addicted to their social media streams, I have ZERO sympathy. A former supervisor of mine used to spend 50% of each work day sitting in front of his PC checking his … until some unknown employee made a complaint about it. He was fired, and now the company uses a monitoring software program to report on the uses we make of our internet connection during work hours. Now, I try to figure out which IDIOT I work with was stupid enough to report the guy, so I can get one of those random noise generating prank devices and plant one near the idiot’s desk.(I might have to buy a couple dozen) We can’t check our emails more than once per day, nearly every media site is tagged, or a report gets sent to some upper management idiot. Trying to look busy for a full eight hours everyday is now work in itself.
