This is “borrowed” (or reinvented) from the Three Stooges short “Rip Sew & Stitch” where Larry is trying unsuccessfully to remove a spot from a pair of pants. But the Stooges probably “borrowed” it too.
I assume if you were working during the time change, they let you go home an hour early? Or did they have to pay you overtime for the “fall back” hour?
