   Agreed. Stoicism is not a very good tactic in an environment that screams for critical analysis and public comment. Cynics are nice group, except for the economic beliefs. Skeptics are good for some useful noise when the situation reaches ridiculous. Meanwhile, I’ll stay what I am - a solitary man (with opinion).

   You, Fennec and Stephen Colbert could not be on a weaker foundation. The government is instituted and empowered by the governed, i.e. us. Government functions, tasks and services are defined by the Constitution. Just because you, Fennec and Stephen Colbert have some bright idea, does not make that bright idea a function of the federal government.
