    The funniest thing about all this is that Tonsils was basically a parody of Johnnie Ray, whose torch songs were hugely popular back in the pre-RnR days but eventually fell into obscurity.

    Back in 1974, most films were either rated “R” or “X”. Nowadays, you just can’t find a film that’s not rated “PG-13”.
