   actually the church decided to have Christmas on Dec 25th because it was so close to the winter solstice. With people looking forward to the celebration of the birth of Christ, it was easier to get rid of the pagan solstice festivals.

   Talking to a moth isn’t exactly cannon… But Gandalf also:-Disguises his voice to keep the trolls arguing until dawn-Makes pine cone grenades -the blinding light also expels embers that burn goblins (if i remember correctly)-faces down the Balrog-returns from the dead (not really his doing but still)- and other magic based deeds that I can’t remember/don’t care to recount

   as for the eagles, they are their own people, much like Rohan or Gondor, they owed Gandalf a debt, and that is why they rescued him and his companions several times.

   Also there is only one trilogy (although even that was supposed to have been 6 books). The Hobbit is a single book, but Hollywood likes trilogies.

   I agree, I could barely sit through 2, and haven’t bothered with 3. Meanwhile I still laugh at The Santa Clause. On the other hand they could be arguing about which is worse, in which case Ralph is right.

   Nice to know that in a forward thinking world there are such close minded individuals like yourself that see any remark about religion as an invitation to attack it. Whether you believe in it or not, the concept of heaven and hell that are being used in the comic are based on the belief systems that use the book quoted by Nabuquduriuzhur.

   Beyond that, why does it matter to you what others believe? I am a Christian and I don’t go around blasting your belief system (and yes even if you are an Atheist it is still a belief system). So why do you believe you have the right to attack mine (or anyone’s religion )?

   If you simply do not like reading religious posts, don’t read them. If you are just trolling, well that’s moronic.
