Same here. Never thought of it that way but now we know. Some states have an outgo tax but no income tax. A few an income tax but no outgo tax. How ever most have every tax imaginable and some even have a tax on taxes. In NC if you have money in savings they just take some out of it every year as a tax without you having to file or pay it. The bank just deducts it from your savings and sends it to the state.

While I worked at a Junior College I found that the Math Level 000 or whatever you want to call it is not for the scholarship athletes alone. I was shocked (I had suspected it but did not think it really existed) at the number of students that were enrolled in remedial classes for both math and English. We had an open enrollment policy where any student could attend no matter their academic background. Since very few had taken the SAT or ACT they would be required to take an assessment test prior to enrollment. As many as 50% could not do basic arithmetic and were required to take two semesters of what was Junior High math. The majority of those students were graduates of one of the local High Schools. It really was shocking to see how many from that one High School could not do simple math. What was even more concerning was how much money the Federal Government was pumping into that school and what the administration was doing with the money. The Superintendent was constantly in the news telling about some new program that she was implementing to help the students but in actuality were nothing more than a new way to get some grant and line her pockets and those of her friends.

Notice they seem to be floating backwards when they get into the lake (standing backwards) so I assume they floated into the lake rather than floating down the river. The river flowing into the lake rather than out of it.

I had radiofrequency ablation on my right side recently and in the follow up to prepare for the left side the doctor asked how much it had helped. I told him I couldn’t really tell as my left side hurt so bad until I couldn’t if my right side was hurting or not. I had the left side done but I have so many other areas hurting until I ma like Mr. Purvis.

For over 1,000 years the terms BC and AD have been used to separate the time frames to make it easier to describe how old something is or when something happened. Now someone has decided to confuse everyone to justify some whim of theirs. I would be willing to be that the majority of people had no idea where BC and especially AD are representative of. To me a stupid move as a protest against Christianity.

There are some who refuse the vaccine due to religious reasons but then you have the media with their headlines seemingly daily that the J&J vaccine will cause blood clots. Out of 7 million people who have received the vaccine 6 have developed the blood clots, all women between the ages of 18 and 48. Talk about your 1 in a million shot and how many lives have been saved by the vaccine. There is much blame to go around but refusal on religious grounds is only a small percentage when you have some leaders promoting the idea that all of it is a government conspiracy to sterilize all black men.

No! Pierced ears for some women really enhances their beauty but on some women pierced ears make it look like a fad went wrong. Just my opinion and nothing more but I hate nose piercing and even dislike it more when they hang a chain from the nose to the ear. LIkewise I have never seen stretching the hole in the earlobe like some African tribes enhance the attractiveness of anyone either male, female or other.

Seems like for a while several years ago almost every baby I saw had their ears pierced. A coworker of mine was telling that his wife had his two month old daughters ears pierced. It seemed to be more of a fad than anything related to any kind of tradition or belief etc. I haven’t seen any babies with their ears pierced in quite a while but I haven’t seen very many babies lately to know if it is still happening.

My wife was about to throw some junk mail away when I checked it and found she was getting ready to throw one of my dividend checks away. Sometimes I go through the pile of junk mail before my wife tosses it and did find another check in the pile. My wife does not check it closely.
