   From what I’ve read of their pre-political days (which is a long time ago, in all fairness), Hillary was the more cunning and active individual. But Mr. Wasserman seems willing to write that all off in this narrative. .I wonder if Hillary had been president first, and now Bill was running, if this cartoon still would have been written, or if the artist’s assumptions only applies to wives and not husbands… just a question, but one that merits some discussion.

   It makes a difference because his sole claim to the office is based on his business experience… and the public record shows it to be a disaster..Breached contracts, bankruptcies, broken promises… all in abundance..Trump himself put it front and center, by making his net worth the key selling point and the foundation of his campaign. If he is unwilling to offer the facts to verify this, then his entire premise fails.

   The single greatest selling point Trump has used for his candidacy is his business skills and experience. This isn’t someone else putting words in his mouth, or making up partisan facts; it is his most promoted asset..And yet his business career is filled with failures, bankruptcies, breached contracts, attempts to intimidate critics into silence, and a reliance on image versus substance..In what world would that represent good, conservative, Christian values, let alone what we want from a president?

   I’ve seen true evil… as a transporter working alongside the family/juvenile court system, I once sat with two boys at the police station while they were waiting for a shelter/foster home opening. The older one leaned over to the younger one and said “I wish he’d leave bruises so we’d never have to go home again.”.Trying to equate a political candidate or position with Satan/evil in the way this cartoon does… weak, Mr. Catalino, and sleazy.

   I think Mogman has a point; the quote you’re attributing to Night-Gaunt49 doesn’t exist on this page..And here’s a direct quote from Trump’s press conference, from the transcripted version (Washington Post has it): “I will tell you this — Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 e-mails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens. That’ll be next. Yes, sir…”.Treason, no. Encouraging a foreign body (Russia, not a private hacker) to probe American email systems in violation of data laws? Yes (see the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act)..Next time, research your quotes before posting.

   Again, nonsense… if you go to YouTube, you will also see evidence of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. Making up stories to fuel paranoia may be fun for you, but next time, file it under fiction.

   Your tactical analysis of Eastern Europe is a fantasy devoid of reality. The forces deployed by NATO are a fraction of what opposes them in the Russian Army, and historically the Russian/Soviet armies have been the biggest threat to these countries. NATO has taken no offensive or strike-ready positions, despite your fantasies to the contrary..Additionally, Russia has one of the most centralized, state-controlled systems of industry (and media as well), so again, facts don’t seem to suit you..As does the paranoia about the “New World Order” and the EU; had you done any research before posting (start with https://europa.eu/european-union/_en), you’d see that the whole “international socialists” claim is hilariously false..Your claims are about fear and rumor, without substance or basis in fact.

   Your comment is barely understandable, and way off topic… plus it’s not true..The KKK came to my hometown in the 90’s and burned a cross on the grounds of my elementary school, to protest an influx of racially diverse people coming to the area in search of jobs..They are very real, and take many different forms, from the full robes to the Council of Conservative Citizens, which has very little to do with being conservative and a lot to do with promoting white supremacy..You can’t solve a problem if you deny it exists.

    The Trump/GOP campaign missed a golden opportunity here. Instead of going into denial mode, they should have acknowledged wanting to support those ideals Michelle Obama listed… and then pivoted to the idea of taking steps to make them happen, and from there to “Making America Great Again.”.But that would mean giving an Obama praise, or deviating from the message of fear. The very nature of the Trump campaign and the convention pushed it away from actually taking a productive, conservative, principled stance.
