Red and Rover by Brian Basset for March 25, 2014

I'm so confused. They say that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Yet the Bible says, the lion and the lamb shall lie down together. And Uncle Jack says the Detroit Lions often lie down and play like lambs when the season's long in the tooth and the weather's colder than a dog's nose. Meteorologically, metaphorically speaking, of course.
In those days, they were the Detroit Possums – they played dead at home, and got killed on the road.
