Answer to yesterday's Ripley's classic brain tickler Do you know the difference between an herb and a spice? What's the difference? Herbs are from the leafy part of the plant while spices consist of a mixture of dried buds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, berries and seeds. The thinking man's collection! Cornell University has on display part of a collection of 600 brains that Professor Bert Greene Wilder gathered during his lifetime. The collection includes brains from scholars, co-workers, friends and ultimately the addition of the Professor's own brain! Faux Beach Every summer, over 1500 tons of sand are dumped in Paris along the banks of the Seine River to create an artificial beach, complete with palm trees and hammocks!
