Slow hellooo... The first transatlantic cable, laid in 1858, transmitted one letter every two minutes! In 1958 Ford designed the Nucleon- a car powered by a miniature nuclear reactor! The late North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il spent a reported $650,000 a year on Hennessy Brandy- their largest single customer!
I believe, Cognac, is a distilled wine. Whereas “brandy” is more of a drink from distilled fruits, such as grapes (wine) etc…
If you distill wine, then put it in a casket (oak case/barrel) you end up with “Cognac”. But if you use fruits, like grapes, peaches etc…, you end up with a wine, which can also be a “brandy”.
(the difference between wine and brandy, is how it’s stored, not made).
That’s what I understood it to be.
