I notice that Trump is stating, for the record, after the midterms, that the loss of the House of Representatives was no big deal (and NOT his fault), that the Republicans that hewed to the clarion call of Trump, won, that the Republicans who tried to distance themselves from Trump went down to defeat. He’s willing to “work” with Democrats, as long as they don’t launch investigations into his administration. As an aside, the reason he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for Congress to subpoena his tax returns is because people “wouldn’t understand them”!
It is, of course, not fair to criticize anyone for the inability to speak properly in front of an audience, but, GOODNESS, I wish Donnie had taken Oratorical lessons at some point before he decided to “show up” Obama! He sounds stiff and ‘wooden’ when reading from a teleprompter (remember when he used to ridicule Obama and Clinton for using them?) And he has an amazing time trying to express his admittedly more animated thoughts when speaking extemporaneously – they are not so much "stream-of-consciousness as stream-of-semiciousnessness. It’s sometimes like trying to understand what someone who is using English as their second language is trying to say.
