I just read those jury instructions, and me9970 is absolutely correct. Stand Your Ground was not used as a defense and it didn’t apply to the case. The jury instructions included a lot of different scenarios that the jury could consider. They did not have the opportunity to consider Stand Your Ground, as Zimmerman never had any opportunity to retreat once Martin assaulted him.
