Joan: The whole credit ard mentality bugs me. It's all about stuff. As if buying the right stuff will make us more important. Credit card companies want us to believe the "Power to buy" will give us power and control in our lives. But the debt we incur chains us down, taking away our freedom and choice. Val: So, nobody should use credit cards? Joan: Just for emergencies. Holly: Mayday! Mayday! If I don't get these khaki capris I'll die!!
You can use a credit card without going into debt. Just pay it off every month. One time I had to get expensive work done on my car. I paid half then, and put half on my credit card. Next month, after another paycheck, I paid off the card. No interest, no debt, and no financial hardship. I’ve had a credit card for 30 years now and have never gone into debt with it.
