I knew someone in San Diego who followed the Chargers closely from childhood. She maintained that Alex Spanos was a very good owner for the team but that Dean was awful. Her opinion but I get the feeling she isn’t alone.
Kind of a dubious choice to move a team out of the eight-largest city in the US, where they had the sports entertainment dollar pretty much all to themselves once the Padres season ended, to a city that had already lost the Dons, Rams and Raiders and play a stadium where they’re renters with little to no leverage. Well played, Dean.
