Once, a small group of men had it all. They ruled the world's richest nation with no opposition at all. But that wasn't enough for them. So they used their nation's wealth to invade other countries. They deserved a reward for building their empire. So they exempted themselves from paying taxes. (Man: I used to be rich. Now I'm even more rich!) Policing an empire, however, is very expensive. And the only people who still paid taxes didn't have any money. (Man 2: We're broke sir. Incidentally, I resign.) Inevitably, the empire began to disentigrate. The newly liberated nations allied themselves and waged war against their former occupiers. Soon the world's richest nation was no more- all because a few rich guys gave themselves a tax cut.
