I’m with Ted: people are freaking out over a “meh, vanilla, centrist establishment” Democrat who debated poorly barely lost in a race where it is traditionally acknowledged the party in power in DC has trouble winning. New Jersey’s governor held his seat, bucking tradition but no one is giving that much news.
A lot of the nimrods in the national media are blaming the progressives, that is total BS, they are just trying to cover for a weak candidate that their establishment and centrist media outlets like CNN built up to be a litmus test when it really was not. This race was so much like the Clinton campaign. The DNC lost the election more than the repubbas won it. Thus the establishment has to blame someone and some have decided to put a target on the only people who truly want good and necessary change for our society and the whole planet: the Progressive Movement.
Darrin Bell had something to say about this and I agree:
Anyhow, what happens next, the DNC panics and their leadership force the progressives in the house to give up their one bargaining chip to getting a better BBB bill on the table by voting through the smaller infrastructure bill. Yeah they got the promise of some moderates in the house to consider voting yes on the BBB. However as long as the senate holds it up, those alleged promises from the blue dog Dinos means little. I think the squad did the right thing by bucking Pelosi on the vote although only 6 had the stones to do it.
