National Leon Day. National Leon Day marks June 25th as six months away from Christmas day. Leon is Noel spelled backward and is a day some crafters begin planning their homemade gifts and decorations. It can also be a day for those who miss the winter holidays to have a mini winter celebration in June.
National Catfish Day
National Bomb Pop Day
National Handshake Day. These days, that’s a no-no. You have to do a virtual “handshake” from a distance.
National Strawberry Parfait Day. I can’t do that today because I don’t have any strawberries. I do hope to buy some on Friday, though. I tried to get some at a local farm on Tuesday, but he wasn’t picking that day. So I left my name & phone number and got on a waiting list. He called last night and said he could not provide berries for me on Thursday because he had so many on hold for other people. But by Friday, I’m on the top of the list (in fact, the only one on the list because he isn’t taking any more orders since he’s near the end of the berry season), so I can get berries before going to work on Friday. Yippee!
It’s also PAYDAY!!! And we are getting an extra $300 bonus ($150 for part-time workers) for working through the pandemic. This is our second $300 bonus. It really helps the paycheck look good!
