NATIONAL CROSSWORD SOLVERS DAY. I like doing crossword puzzles, but i stick to the easy ones.
NATIONAL BROWNIE DAY. No brownies for me. I made fudge for Thanksgiving (at the request of my nephew, Tyler, and his wife. I took some to them when we visited them) and I still have some left in my fridge. I haven’t been eating it very fast since I got sick just a couple of days after Thanksgiving. I don’t need brownies until I finish the fudge.
By the way, I’m feeling much better now. I went to work on Friday and was told by at least 4 people that I looked pale and unwell. I did my best to get through the day, but ended up leaving 2 hours early. Yesterday (Saturday), I was looking and feeling better. I got to work and when I saw all the work waiting for us, I was ready to go home. Besides doing Christmas, our team does toys too (also stationery). We had 5 shopping carts of toy returns to put away, and 3 pallets of toys to work. I let the others on my team (Ann, Joyce and Robert) work on toys while I tackled Christmas. Even the 3 of them put together didn’t finish the freight. They didn’t even touch the carts of returns. I had 4 shopping carts of Christmas returns to put away, 4 pallets of freight to work and a totally destroyed department. It was like a tornado hit it with all the mess. Well, I did as much as I could, but I still have 2 carts of returns to put away and a mess to clean up and half a pallet of freight to work. I did stay for my entire shift and I got a lot done. But there is still a lot of work to do. And today, it’s just me and Robert working. We have an extremely busy Sunday ahead of us. And Robert is sick too. It’s going to be an interesting day!
