Gladys: This notice just came from the gas company, stating our payment is past due! Brutus: That notice is incorrect - I made that payment two weeks ago! Gladys: You mean, the past-due notice is past due?
Not unusual with my gas provider either. I can pay it before the due date and get a past due notice dated the day after I paid the bill….even BEFORE the actual due date arrives. Go figure.
