The Born Loser by Art & Chip Sansom Brutus: When I was at old Lakewood High, we had to take typing class... Brutus: My typing teacher, Mr. Felty, said we would use the skills we were learning for the rest of our lives... Brutus: I was skeptical then, but I now know he was right... Brutus: Mr. Felty taught us the proper position of our hands above the keys... Brutus: And the technique of assigning each letter key to a specific finger... Brutus: This method and lots of practice led to a typing speed of sixty words per minute, which I thought was impressive... Brutus: Until I discovered my untrained kid can type his texts faster than that, and he only uses his thumbs!
Maybe but the goofy kid cannot use a keyboard! I learned to type in 1975, and have never forgotten how despite a few decades of not doing it. Learning to type will improve a kids usefulness on a computer, yes it will !!! Learn to type kids!!!
