Have always wondered what squirrel tastes like. ACK! Brought back a memory from a neighbors hunt for squirrel with his 10yr old son. It was in S.C. They went hunting one weekend, didn’t find a thing all morning so they sat against a couple trees for lunch. Suddenly the boy puts his finger to his lips silencing Dad. Then he points to his father and then up. Father slowly reaches around tree for his shot gun. With the gun in his lap he points it up. His son then motions Dad as to where the muzzle needs to point. Finally he gives a sharp point to his Dad to fire. A squirrel drops into Dad’s lap. The only reason I believe this is a true story is because they showed the pelt from the previous nights dinner.
