SrBw: I meant ”left out”, thanks! You didn’t offend me at all, why would you think that? I like your posts although I sometimes don’t get the jokes. :p You’re over the top but you make me laugh most of the time, thanks. ;-)
“Durão” was his mother’s maiden name if I’m not mistaken. It is a more “interesting” name. I think the international press have taken to just using 3 of his names and not all four. Back in Portugal he is better known as “Durão Barroso”. There’s no hard, fast rule why people get called by how many or whatever names.
While English isn’t my mother tongue and I didn’t learn it first, I embarrassed to admit I now speak & write it best so this mistake is a bad one!
Lately I have noticed I leave out whole words in my writing. I can proof read what I wrote a couple of times and still miss the mistakes because I think my brain adds it in for me. Likewise with spelling errors, I’m committing more and more of them lately, I wonder what that means. The idiomatic expressions I use can be confusing at times since I may apply them to the wrong language and I won’t notice it since I get them either way. Pity others don’t. :p
I still don’t get this cartoon. :(
(and I was left even more puzzled while listening to SrBw’s vids)
