Banks: We should be in Barkeater Lake by three, Delores. Delores: Uh... Great! Delores: So, Banks... Where does someone such as yoursefl learn to fly a plane? Banks: Well, I come from a long line of Austrian circus dogs... Banks: Would you like to see some of my tricks? Delores: Ahh! Hands on the wheel!! Ten and two!! Ten and two!!
I must admit that I’ve ignored it as well. But that particular recommendation has little to do with safety and mostly everything to do with the air bags that are routinely installed in the center of steering wheels. Hand positions of “10 and 2” leave your arms/hands much more vulnerable to injury from a deploying air bag.
